The great Pablo Picasso was quoted once, saying,
“All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once [she] grows up”
I think I know the answer.
Introducing Arite Kannavos, whose signature style of vivid colour, metallic highlights and faint washes, capture the viewers attention, taking them back to a time of childhood innocence and purity.
This is what a dream would look like in paint, poking at your subconscious, evoking emotions that make you smile for no reason.
Her paintings are a reflection of the beauty that is this creative mind.
Not only does she inject art into our world, she also nurtures the creative soul in her friends…. including me!
Arite is a character, and much like her artwork, she is irresistible.
Her work having graced numerous blogs and magazines from Australia and around the world, the darling Miss Arite is one of my friend’s I am most proud of.
I ‘heart’ Arite, and you will too.
Be sure to catch her current show “Enfold” at Gilligan Grant Gallery before it ends on 13th December.
